Stir well the material into its original container by shaking. BondPro Release WB may be applied by brush or conventional mould oil sprayer. If a mould oil sprayer is used, it is important that a fine nozzle is fitted, as BondPro Release WB should be applied in a light continuous film. If BondPro Release WB is over applied, excess material should be allowed to drain and then be carefully removed from the bottom of the mould by means of a sponge or cloth. Pools of BondPro Release WB should not be allowed to dry otherwise surface retardation of the concrete will occur. Unlike conventional mould oils, particular attention should be paid to coating mould rims in order to avoid adhesion of overspill cement slurry. Whenever a new timber or plywood is used, apply initial spray coat to seal the surface and then apply another coat prior to pouring of concrete. If after the first application, the BondPro Release WB is completely absorbed into new timber or plywood, a further application should be made before filling the moulds or formwork.
Apply before the first casting and thereafter reapply immediately after stripping and cleaning the mould. Apply at a a theoretical coverage rate of 40 – 50 m² per litre in a continuous uniform coating. Lightweight horticultural sprayers are ideal as BondPro Release WB is finely atomized to give a uniform coating. Alternatively, application may be made by a fine haired brush, only a very thin coating should be made and any excess removed. Re-apply BondPro Release WB each time the formwork is used.
BondPro Release WB reacts chemically with cement to impart excellent release properties to treated surfaces. Concrete cast against surfaces coated with BondPro Release WB exhibit a smooth, hard, uniform finish. BondPro Release WB has no negative effect on the properties of concrete nor will it impair the adhesion of subsequent surface treatments when applied at the recommended coverage rates.
After Stripping or Demolding:
After use, the formwork or mould should be brushed or wiped clean of any excess dust prior to re-application of BondPro Release WB for the next use of the mould to minimises the amount of time and effort required
Repair of moulds:
If, after extended use, mould surfaces require repair or re-coating with polyurethane sealer, all residual traces of BondPro Release WB must be removed to ensure complete adhesion. This is best effected by using a strong industrial detergent together with stiff brushing, followed by thorough rinsing with clean water
