Description
BondPro Grip Primer is a low odour, solvent-free primer composed of synthetic resin in water dispersion and aggregates with excellent bond strength, resistance to water and ageing. It guarantees a rough keying surface ideal for render, smoothing compounds and cementitious adhesives, ‘thus ensuring an excellent bond on smooth substrates and substrates with low absorbency’. The product is a special wash primer for smooth, non-absorbent substrates. BondPro Grip Primer is a ready-to-use latex which is easy to apply using either a roller or a brush.
Once dry, it guarantees a tough bond of any render, smoothing and levelling compound and cementitious adhesive on various types of substrates: Concrete, bricks, stone, plasterboard, wood, ceramic, metal, render, etc. It is suitable for internal and external application with a very low emission of VOC.

Product Application
BondPro Grip Primer may be applied to the substrate by brush or roller. The render, smoothing and levelling compound or cementitious adhesive may be applied once BondPro Grip Primer is dry. The minimum waiting time is from 15 to 60 minutes and may vary according to the surrounding temperature and humidity and the absorption of the substrate. It’s possible to apply a second coat of BondPro Grip Primer from the application of the first coat after a long time.

Cleaning:
While still fresh, BondPro Grip Primer may be removed easily from tools with water. Once dry, it must be removed with alcohol-based solvent.
Storage & Shelf Life:
BondPro Grip Primer remains stable for at least 12 months under normal conditions in its original, sealed packaging. BondPro Grip Primer is non-flammable and has an extremely low emission level of volatile organic compounds (VOC). It may also be stored without taking particular precautions.
Recommendations:
- Do not use BondPro Grip Primer in the presence of rising damp or rising humidity, and on continuously immersed surfaces.
- BondPro Grip Primer is ready-to-use, no dilution is required.
- Do not use as adhesion promoter for smoothing compounds and cementitious adhesives on screeds and power trowelled concrete and absorbent surfaces in general.
- Protect applied and cured primer from contamination.
- The surface finish must be removed by rough-grinding and thorough cleaning prior to the application of BondPro Grip Primer to water-repellent ceramic tiles.
Clean tools and work containers with water immediately after use. When the product has cured it can no longer be removed with water.
