Description
AquaShieldPro Primer WB is a is an emulsified bitumen-based primer designed for applications as a primer and sealer coat
Additional Information
Packaging: | Colours: | Coverage/ Yield: |
15 litres pail & 200 litres drum | Black | 4 to 5 m² / litre per coat *The coverage will depend on the density, porosity of the substrat, surface profile, variations in level or wastage etc. In order to ascertain the exact coverage, a trial application is carried out at site. |
Typical Applications
Used as a primer coat for better adhesion of the torch-on and stick-on Styrene Butadiene Styrene (SBS) modified bituminous waterproofing preformed sheet membranes. It provides an effective activation of the surface to receive the waterproofing sheet membrane systems
Benefits
- Economical
- Solvent free
- Ready to use by brush, roller or spray
- Cold applied, does not require heating
- Binder for dust particles
- Anti-corrosive
The drum should be rolled on the ground back and forth before decanting material. Stir the contents of the drum thoroughly prior to application to remove any sediment.
Apply by brush, roller, squeegee or airless spray gun. The application rate will differ based on the type of substrate and surface profile. Only prime areas that are to be covered in the same day. Do not leave the primer exposed for more than 24 hours. If this should happen, reapply primer coat at given consumption rate and allow to fully cure as above. The primer should be allowed to dry naturally before the application of subsequent layers. For highly porous surfaces application of a second priming coat is recommended.
Cleaning:
Clean all tools immediately after use with clean water. Hardened material can be cleaned with a solvent.
